SUPPORT FOR BABY JAZLEEN
Sheryl’s journey to Hong Kong as a migrant domestic worker began in 2015, driven by her deep love for her family and the desire to support them from afar. Despite the distance, she worked tirelessly to provide for them.

In 2022, facing the challenges of pregnancy and employment, Sheryl turned to PathFinders for help. Recognizing that returning home would offer a brighter future for her newborn, Jazleen, she made the heartfelt decision to prioritize their return.
PathFinders stepped in to assist Sheryl with Jazleen’s documentation, ensuring that their rights and needs were protected. We also arranged her home return, including a short stay at our shelter, to facilitate a smooth transition for Sheryl and her family. Today, Sheryl and baby Jazleen are happily reunited with their loved ones in their home country.
Throughout her journey, Sheryl exemplified remarkable strength, maintaining a positive attitude and a smile even amid adversity. She showered her child with love and effortlessly spread joy to everyone at our shelter and community center. Sheryl’s resilience and optimistic outlook reminds us all that happiness can thrive even in life’s storms.
