Baby Dian saved from homelessness
We met baby Dian when he was only 7 days old, staying overnight with his mother, Gema, in a park in Yuen Long.

Gema, a former domestic helper, had been unlawfully terminated, leaving her homeless and without any support.
When Dian developed a serious infection due to the cold weather, an acquaintance directed them to PathFinders. We immediately brought Dian to the hospital, where he received emergency treatment and stayed for several days.
Once discharged, we provided shelter, ensured Dian received a birth certificate, and offered counseling to Gema, who was deeply distressed over her inability to keep her newborn safe.
Through our counseling and guidance, Gema learned essential baby care skills, including breastfeeding and bathing. In time, she and Dian returned to Indonesia, hopeful for a secure and stable future with their family.
