I have been working in Hong Kong for over 12 years as a Migrant Domestic Worker (MDW). For nearly a decade, I’ve served a kindhearted Brazilian-Swiss German family, caring for their home and their daughter, Isabella.
Beyond household duties, I find joy in cooking, baking and creating art and craft, especially with Isabella, who inspires me with her gentle heart. One of the things I enjoy making is macrame bracelets.
With the support of my employers, I was able to pursue my Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Sales Management, balancing work and study.
I am the eldest of five siblings. My late father and hardworking mother – also a migrant worker – remain my greatest inspiration. One of my proudest achievements was buying a house for my parents, as a symbol of my gratitude and resilience.
I co-founded the We Talk and We Listen platform. It empowers MDWs by sharing knowledge, rights, and opportunities. As a PathFinders’ Ambassador, I focus on raising awareness about maternity rights and supporting women in difficult situations.
My journey is a testament that we are not “just helpers”. We are capable of growth, creativity, and becoming the best versions of ourselves.
