Big congrats to our Ambassador Anik who did an amazing job at our wonderful partner Free Periods Hong Kong’s “Be My Buddy Buddy – Menstrual Equity Workshop” held at ReThink Expo on 11th September 2024.
During this interactive workshop, participants shared insights on how to challenge societal taboos surrounding menstruation. Participants were also encouraged to take action to raise awareness and promote positive impact by creating “period bracelets”.
Hong Kong currently employs 350,000 Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs), many of whom are women of childbearing age and lack access to reproductive knowledge and services. At the workshop we were invited to share about our experiences in conducting menstrual education workshops specifically for the MDW communities in Hong Kong.
