We are grateful for the support of the Child Development Centre

Between February 2017 and February 2018 PathFinders’ Access to Health team has referred 38 children for screening by the Child Development Centre(CDC).  Our Case workers flagged these children as those who potentially need additional developmental support. Of these 38 children, 5 have received follow-up care from the Child Development Centre in the form of an ‘Early Intervention Group’ which is held in both English and Cantonese. The group teaches crucial skills needed for learning and participation in school and social settings including:

  • Listening and responding
  • Imitation
  • Sharing
  • Turn-taking
  • Following instructions
  • An individual teaching and therapeutic programme for each child

Thank you, CDC for your ongoing support of PathFinders’ children.
