Events

On behalf of the PathFinders Board and Staff, thank you so much for joining us on Friday 8th November to celebrate 11 years of supporting some of Hong Kong’s most vulnerable children. Thanks to your generosity, we raised over HK$3 million, which will ensure every Sweet Child receives a fair start in life!

A special thanks to everyone who bid in the live and project auctions. We raised a fantastic HK$584,000 from 10 live and 3 online auction lots, and amazingly, HK$1.258 million was raised from pledges, showing the incredible spirit of our supporters and friends. Overall, we raised 6% more than last year, a huge achievement on it’s own, but especially given the challenging times. All funds raised will enable us to continue delivering critical services to babies, children and women in need, and allow us to take a giant step forward with our outreach work to prevent future crises unfolding. A million thank yous to everyone who has made this possible.

Huge thanks to our headline sponsor, the Peter Bennett Foundation, supporting sponsor Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management and reception sponsor OCP Asia, and to The American Club for hosting us.

We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to the evening’s success, including board member Judy Chan’s Grace Vineyard for the delicious wines, Bernard Pouliot from Premium Fincas for the Cava, Alice de la Fuente Saez from Links Concept for the Champagne, Simmi from Sims Sweet Shop for the sweet-filled table gifts, Valerie Chiu from Coco Paradise for the farewell treats, auctioneer Ian McGinlay of Sotheby’s, emcee Michael Roy, photographer Daniel Murray, the videographers from Photo4Good, DJ Zee Jammin, the band Rockstars Anonymous, Daniel Leung and his team from Alibi Productions for their technical AV support on the night, Ray Lau for the powerful video and James Johnstone at Paratus Marketing for bringing our rock ‘N’ roll theme to life in the event visuals and brochure.

Last but not least, monumental thanks to our event committee, table hosts and volunteers – adults and children alike – without whom the event would not have happened.

From everyone at PathFinders, and on behalf of the babies, children and mothers we serve, heartfelt thanks for your support.

Very best,
Vivien, Catherine & The Team at PathFinders

HK$100,000 could help 10 babies and their mothers find a path from crisis to hope

PathFinders’ social workers ensure the immediate safety of every FDW mother and baby in crisis, providing access to shelter, supplies, healthcare, education and justice. Individual counselling on pregnancy health, immigration and employment status ensures each mother can make informed decisions and plan a safe and bright future for their baby.

HK$50,000 could provide specialist support to 5 families to help them return home and build a bright future

Returning home with a mixed-race child can be a daunting prospect for a single, unemployed mother. PathFinders’ specialist counselling, employment skills training and access to home country social services ensures mothers are physically and emotionally equipped to make their journey home with confidence to build a bright future for their child.

HK$25,000 could deliver a series of ‘Train the Trainer’ workshops to empower 20 PathFinders Ambassadors

To expand outreach and create a sustainable platform for educating FDW on maternity awareness, protection and rights, these workshops empower FDW community leaders with knowledge and resources to conduct outreach on behalf of PathFinders and fundamentally prevent babies and children falling into crisis.

HK$12,000 could provide workshops for 10 Employment Agency staff, empowering all stakeholders to prevent a crisis

When a FDW’s pregnancy is discovered or announced, often employers and agencies are equally unsure how to manage the situation in the best interest of the employer’s family, as well as the unborn child. Through outreach activities with agencies and employer groups, we offer practical guidance and solutions to support all involved, preventing a crisis unfolding.

HK$6,000 could deliver workshops to educate and empower 100 newly-arrived FDWs

In partnership with the Indonesian Consulate, these workshops are held twice a month as part of PathFinders’ crisis prevention strategy. We empower newly-arrived FDWs with knowledge about
