Between February 2017 and February 2018 PathFinders’ Access to Health team has referred 38 children for screening by the Child Development Centre(CDC). Our Case workers flagged these children as those who potentially need additional developmental support. Since May 2017 The Matilda International Hospital has partnered with PathFinders to help our pregnant clients who are not eligible for public healthcare to receive structural ultrasound scans and antenatal blood work. A healthy and well-managed pregnancy is the first step in ensuring a child’s well-being. We are so grateful to the Matilda Hospital for helping our babies get the best start in life.

Each year PathFinders clients’ welcome hundreds of new babies into the world. To ensure they have everything they need during their first few weeks, we provide all expectant clients with a box of essential baby supplies, including nappies, baby clothes, maternity pads, bibs, baby oil and more. In partnership with the Philippines Consulate, PathFinders hosted an engaging educational workshop for 60 newly-arrived domestic workers. The workshop covered various aspects of relationships and sensitive socio-cultural topics, including vulnerabilities and conflicts in relationships, self-protection and marital and visa status’. In addition, the participants were provided information on family planning and their maternity rights in Hong Kong. This is one of a series of community education and awareness initiatives
