In early June, PathFinders was invited to South Island School to participate in a student discussion about human trafficking as part their ‘Human Library’ event. The event aimed to teach Year 10 students about social issues in their local community.
PathFinders held several group discussions with 200 students aged 14 to 15, raising awareness about the issues faced by migrant workers in Hong Kong, particularly when pregnant. Our team was inspired by their curiosity and questions about government and social sector support for migrant workers, and their support for our client programmes and advocacy work.
Thank you South Island School for hosting us, and for inspiring so many young minds through this fun event!
